When this clock is placed in the sun, the quartz movement becomes inaccurate and often the hands simply "drop" to the 6:30 hour. It is does not work when too hot or too cold.

My son has started a clock collection. Every year Santa gives him a wall clock. I found Santa likes the Atomic clocks better...since they don't need to be changed for daylight savings time. It looks great as the center-piece on his wall. It would also look good on the house in the back yard since it's so big.

The clock was in an area that is fairly well protected from most direct sun. At 4:20pm the two clockhands apparently loosened up and got hung up on the thermometer. Unfortunately, since the clock is radio controlled there is no way of unjamming the hands. The clock was where it could be seen from our pool area and was great for the month and a half that it worked without problems.
